Hiking Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains: A Guide to the Area's Greatest Hiking Adventures by Ken Keffer From short scenic day trips to multi-day backpacking excursions, Hiking Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains covers dozens of trails throughout the region including lands of the Bighorn National Forest, the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area, as well as surrounding state and federal lands. Ken Keffer is a naturalist and environmental educator who grew up camping and hiking in Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains. As a wildlife biologist and environmental educator he has worked extensively throughout the United States from Alaska to Maryland and New Mexico to Ohio. Through his company Destination Nature, Ken encourages everyone to explore from backyards to mountaintops. He has co-authored four books connecting families to nature. Currently Ken is a freelance writer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, although he has never missed a yearly trip to the Bighorns.
