Description
Hike dry summer trails or tour a harsh winter backcountry: this freestanding design offers excellent stability throughout the year. A polyurethane-coated rip stop polyester rainfly sheds winter weather, and three DAC Featherlite aluminum poles of 9 mm and 9.8 mm thickness give the Venus II all-season strength. Flat pole sleeves improve the overall aerodynamics of the tent, reducing the tendency to flap in heavy weather. Separate doors with large vestibules give each occupant an individual entrance and storage space; the smaller vestibule includes a loft for storing wet gear. A polyurethane coated, taffeta nylon floor protects from moisture on damp summer beaches and consolidated winter snow. The rip stop polyester canopy is suspended from the pole structure, allowing the rainfly to be used alone as a lightweight shelter or the canopy to be erected separately in warm conditions.
