The Scout Tarp Extreme from Exped is contradiction in terms: compact and lightweight yet still a huge shelter; a simple design but long on versatility. A clever tensioning cord in a perimeter channel allows easy tensioning for multiple setups, and an integrated stuff sack and guyline pocket make packing up a breeze!

- Quick setup thanks to the unique channel along the outer seam where an adjustable shock cord is hidden. Once set, the tension remains constant keeping the tarp taught
- Numerous guylines and loops for versatile setup or suspension
- Can be pitched as a simple A-frame shelter over a stetched cord
- Almost anything can be used for support (paddles, trekking poles, skis, branches, snowshoes or even a pack)
- Compact, integrated packsack doubles as anchorsack for supports
- Central attachment loop allows the tarp to be suspended from a branch or other overhang
- Lap-felled seams sew cotton-wrapped polyester thread through 4 layers of interleaved fabric where it expands to keep water out and increase strength and durability
