The best of all barefoot worlds, our Bare Access shoe has a 0mm drop to let your feet land flat, and uniform toe to heel cushioning – an ideal feature for longer distances, harder surfaces or transitioning to barefoot running. Its breathable upper adds to your foot freedom with its feather-light construction.

The Bare Access 2 is a great choice when your run will involve a combination of asphalt/pavement and trail - this outsole works nicely on trail, but it is also designed to hold up well on asphalt/pavement.

If you want a more aggressive, trail specific, outsole (which might be an advantage on muddy/loose trails) check out the: Inov-8 Men's Trailroc™ 235 (0 drop) or the Merrell Men's Mix Master 2 (4mm drop).

If you do not want/need the cushion the Bare Access 2 offers the Merrell Men's Trail Glove is a great 0 drop choice.

If you have been wearing 'traditional' footwear shoes with an 8-12mm drop it is important to give yourself time to adapt to 0 drop footwear! Merrell has some great resources to help you learn more about barefoot running form, barefoot footwear and transitioning to 0 drop footwear.
