Description
Plush Cactus Wren Audubon Bird with real bird call from Backyard Bird Series 4
Cactus Wren (Campylorhunchuas Brunneicapillus): This desert bird is the state bird of Arizona and the largest of all North American wren species. Their long, curved bills effectively catch insects and small reptiles, and delicately pick cactus fruit. The sharp spines of the cactus provide a protected place for the Cactus Wren’s nest and young. Males build the dome-shaped nests to which the young return even after they have fledged.
