Beal's DryCoVer™ Perma-sheath consists of a chemical protection cover for each filament making up the sheath. This cover is not just a simple coating, but is heat polymerized, forming an actual protective shell made of polymerized molecules. To guarantee its permanence, this cover is fixed into the molecules of the poly-amide by chemical bonds. DryCoVer acts to protect the sheath of all Beal dynamic ropes by repelling water and guarding its outside layer against multiple aggressions.
