    Excellent for going lighter

Worn on 6-day solo trip in the Sierra near the Palisades, no problems with this pack at all. It felt good right from the start - was comfortable and carried a 40 lb load with ease. It took a bit to get used to the various changes from my other full-sized pack that I have carried for years - a Dana Terraplane. However it carried the weight well , going over two cross-country passes and some fairly rough terrain. Was a bit concerned as to the lightweight buckles, etc and if they would hold up, but all was good on this short trip. Wished it had attached straps for the sleeping pad, but made do with some lightweight bungees. Plenty of room for paring down some weight. I liked this pack and hope to use it many more times.
